GIRLS Academy
Eta Nu is thrilled to be partnering with UC Berkeley's Pi Deuteron Chapter to put on GIRLS Academy at Buchser Middle School in Santa Clara. We will be holding the event on Saturday, November 12th through Sunday, November 13th. The event will be run by women who have been trained in a curriculum to help middle school girls achieve leadership abilities, create a respectful peer community and promote positive self esteem. Collegiate women will serve as role models and leaders for these young girls.
The event will start with drop off on Saturday morning at 8:15AM and will close with a graduation celebration on Sunday morning at 11:00AM. All parents and school administration are invited to attend this ceremony. All meals for the weekend will be provided and school administrators will be on site at all times.
Additionally, soon after the GIRLS Academy weekend the Kappa Kappa Gamma chapters will be hosting a post-event mentoring activity that all girls are welcome to participate in. This will serve as a way for the collegiate women to continue their positive relationship and influence on the girls.
We hope you consider being a part of this exciting opportunity! Applications and teacher recommendation forms can be found below.
